  We stayed at Savannah shores at the beginning of July. A wonderful experience from the beginning. We were met and welcomed by Karen and Scotty and shown to our cabin. They were both very helpful with their knowledge of the area. The cabin was clean and grounds lovely. The BBQ and fish cleaning area were great to have. A fabulous view for the glorious sunsets. Looking forward to going back again.

  Outside our room was a large BBQ setting with a huge gas BBQ. One of our guys caught a few big fish right at the front door and I cooked up a chilli, coconut fish curry one night. Savannah Shores is only 50 metres from the Karumba Sunset Hotel and we spent most afternoons having a few beers before returning to our unit and soaking up the sun around the pool. There is a convenience takeaway store across the road so we had everything we needed. The Unit came with its own separate but private bathroom which was also, big, roomy and clean. We had access to a free washing machine with clothesline at rear of our Unit. I cannot rate this place high enough, both for great hosts, location, cleanliness and provision of cooking utensils etc. Karen even gave me a loan of glad wrap, pepper/salt grinder, oil and vinegar etc. Next time I'm in Karumba I know where I'll be staying.

  We were 4 guys arriving in 2 light aircraft. It's a big problem when you fly into remote places as you don't have access to a vehicle. Karen and Scotty our hosts were absolutely fabulous, they collected us from the Airport and put us in Unit 9 for four nights. The Unit exceeded our expectations, it had 4 single beds, was really clean and tidy plus had all the coffee making and cooking gear to cook up a storm.
